When I started FargoBands.Com over 10 years ago, I was looking at helping bands in the Fargo-Moorhead area get on the internet with schedules and links to their websites for people to find. With their help, FargoBands went for 300 visitors a month to over 10,000 today. That is a major accomplishment and I am very proud of what has happened.
With that I hope to expand on the concept of what FargoBands is. When I started FargoBands, I set a requirement that a member of the band had to live in the FM area for a band to have any kind of listing on the site. I have turned down may requests over the years because bands have not met this requirement or failed to contact me back after talking to them.
So, I am starting fmmusicscene.com. It is still a work in progress, but I feel I am ready to get it going. If you are with a band that is not from the area, not setup with a website or not just on the internet yet with a social website presence (FaceBook), then here is an answer for you. Check it out, click here.
We have added a streaming player with a few songs from some of the local bands. Just click on the title of the song listed on the left in the player to hear the song. (You must be on a High-Speed Internet connection to be able to get the stream).
